Прикуп брокером ценных бумаг, товаров и т.д., если его партнер-продавец не выполнил своих обязательств перед его покупателем. Такое неизбежно случается после подъема цен на рынке (продавец и сам бы прикупил ценные бумаги, товары и т.д., если бы цены на рынке упали). Брокер покупает по лучшей из доступных цене, а его партнер-продавец покрывает разницу между ценой прикупа и первоначальной ценой и издержки брокера на приобретение. Сравни: selling out (распродажа уже приобретенных, но оставшихся неоплаченными ценных бумаг, товаров и т.д.).
